Stolen and Found

#1

Post by Piercieve »

As some of you know, I had a BM Blackwood Mini Skirmish stolen from me about a year ago. Well, my buddy went out of town and hung out at this kid's apartment. While he was there, he found my knife! w00t! He yoinked it right back. I'm very excited for him to be back in town so I can get this lil' guy back. Supposively the tip's chipped and it's pretty scratched because this kid actually THREW IT AT STUFF, but I'm still happy. I'll try to post some pics with the rest of my :spyder: collection. :)

Glad you got your knife back. However, its not surprising the little sh**head abused the knife - he didn't pay for it, he stole it, so it meant less than nothing to him.

Sometimes I wonder if the Arabs don't have the right idea - steal, and WACK......off goes the hand.......it sure teaches someone to keep their (remaining) hand OUT of other peoples stuff.

I HATE a thief.

love the sinner, hate the sin.. problem w/ thievery isn't even so much the loss of the object but the sense of violation one feels. Stuff is just stuff, not all that important.

Agreed, this guy has done me many solids... but there comes a point where you just can't trust someone. I don't really have a problem with him, but I sure as **** don't trust him anymore.
You're right, by the way. I was more upset about him lying about it than about losing the knife, although I was pretty **** upset about the knife. :D

I know he means a adult.

I would still make him regret stealing a friend of mine's posession.

Haha, I'm the same way. He's 20.
And yes, yoink is one of my favorite words. :D

Don't mean to offend, but I don't think much of that philosophy.

I leave the "lovin' of the sinner" to God. Jesus may have absolved the two thieves crucified on either side of Him, but I'm not that forgiving. :D

How do you know it is your knife and not an identical one?

Glad you got it back. :)

Thanks, I'm glad too... my friend gets back in town sometime today!

Well, it had some distinct scratches on it before I lost it. I actually planted it point down in the dirt while I was cutting lacrosse stings so I didn't have to keep opening it. (stupid, I know that now) So it has pretty recognizable scratches parallel to the blade where to black coating came off. Plus the tip is broken, and I heard stories about them throwing my knife, so... yea.
Plus the knife was initially lost at this kids house.
Plus he buys cool looking auto knives with doodoo blade steel, he wouldn't have bought a $250 knife.
Plus it was the limited edition one with the blue handle, so... pretty rare.
Plus he has a history of stealing things.

Believe me, my knife. :D :o

no offense taken, I'm way less forgiving for the violent, those who abuse power, and of course anyone who harms a child.. I will gladly tighten the thumb screws on anyone who abuses children.

Dude, I'm glad you got that knife back. That's awesome.

I would send that back to BM for a little TLC. They will make it real nice. Also, if you pay them they will put a new blade in it (if you would want that due to the chipped clip).

Peace :D

Glad you got it back even though in other than desireable circumstances.

Dirty mongrels stealing stuff from others makes me sick and disgusted. Shame on them. Good at least you had a mate that recogised it to be yours and nicked it back for you :) Give him a pat on the back from me !

Well, I got it back late last night, and it's in better shape than I could have hoped for. Pretty badly scuffed at the tip, because all the guy used it for was shotgunning beers (stabbing beer cans, for you innocents)... But the chippage isn't nearly as bad as I thought. I'm not sending it anywhere (I'm not letting it out of my sight)... a sharpmaker would fix the problem. Plus, I kind of like it beat up, as now I'm not afraid to use the knife. Pictures on the way.
I washed it with steamwands and stainless steel cleaner at work today, unscrewed some screws and had to scrape gum out of it, but whatever.

Lockup still solid, no blade play. W00t!

The knife looks very decent, from what you wrote happened to it. I too would keep it and fix it up myself. It's a lot of fun too.
