How do I get new screws?

#1

Post by LOOKABIRD »

So i lost the screws to my Harpy and 1 clip screw to my Cricket. How do I get replacements? Is there a place to buy them or does Spyderco send you new ones on request? Have I lost them forever? How does it work?

Just give the Spyderco Factory Outlet a buzz: 1-800-828-1925.

You might want to consider ordering a new clip while you are at it.

All the best,

I walked too close to the shop door and caught the clip on one of my Spydercos. The clip and bolster screw/nuts came off. I quickly found the clip and half of the bolster screw/nut set, but not the other half in the grass. I even tried a magnet without any luck. None of my local hardware stores had anything that would fit, so I called Spyderco's Customer Service number. I told the kind lady that the mishap was totally my fault and I would gladly pay for replacements. She took my name and address and in a couple of days, I had a new set of bolster screw and nut at absolutely no charge. Within a few days, I went to my local shop and bought yet another new Spydie to keep up my support of the company.

Hint: Use Loctite or a similar product.

Welcome to the forums, rdnkbkr! I am glad you had a positive experience with Spyderco, as they are the best. Your further support of Spyderco is to be commended. Believe it or not, the best thing that we can do in these turbulent financial times is to spend. Good to see you are doing your part. ;)
