The sharper they are the less they hurt when you cut yourself. :spyder:
Yeah, that is weird. That first one is like no Military I've ever seen. The second looks like a Walker, but the picture is too dark. I dunno. Same guy bought both knives, so I assume he knew what he was buying.

The Walker is definitely a Spyderco Walker, but not a C22. It's the FRN C37 Michael Walker Lightweight. Darned if I know what the "Military" really is. Could be a $5 POS, or a $500 VXPOS, but it's definitely not a Spyderco of any kind.

"This model features a 2" Stainless Steel Folding blade,
The same model used by the US Navy SEALS,US Military and the US Police Force."
Really? 2" Really? on a Millie?
>gack<
I understand getting in a hurry when you're writing the e-bay copy but darnit look...it's obviously bigger than 2"!!
And what exactly is the US Police Force?

Live and learn I suppose. You really have to be careful on eBay and ask ?'s.
The buyer should realize the misinterpretation of the item immediately upon opening the box, and contact the seller quick. I'd be pretty ticked off. Then again with that photo, I would have never bought it in the first place.

From what im seeing alot of e-bay stores are popping up. I think they get alot of stuff in that they dont have a clue about to sell for others. Just a maybe but the knives could of been stored in spyder boxes and given to them to sell. Maybe they knew...maybe they didnt. I always ask if the item is as described and new in the box so i have there response in writing in case something goes wrong. Take care, John.

What else can I say, I love e-bay. It is like a zoo: you can see variety of spicies.araneae wrote:Yeah that Millie is a Meyerco $15 POS. The winner will really enjoy that one for $79.
About a month ago my coworker bought NIB black S for about $40 (which is good price), didn't like it, put back on e-bay with very clear description and pictures, sold for $100 (it is available on-line almost at any dealer around $60). Of cause he received great feedback, buyer was very happy, guy has no clue.
Of cause you can, but not sure what e-bay can do, if seller are not willing to cooperate. The best option is to pay with paypal, configured to take money from your credit card, so you can get your money back from paypal or credit card. Also pay attention to seller feedback. I would not consider sellers with feedback less that 99% (unless it is only one negative) and usually if I am serious I read all negatives. I am buying production knives, next week or month will be more of them.Andyjd wrote:You could buy it and file a complaint "not as descibed"

The other problem is, even if "not as described" it would probably be exactly as pictured. So, unless the buyer is visually impared and relying solely on the text, that complain would really be a tad thin. Especially when you consider that at any given moment there are at least a couple dozen Militarys on eBay all of which have an identical outline which is nothing like the knife in that auction.
