Wow...ebay idiot or con man

Read this item description, compare it to the Tasman Salt description, look at the picture and tell me if it used to be SE. Oblivious or conman?

Conman.

I can forgive copying the official item description...

...if you're actually selling the knife that the description is for.

Plus, the guy has to realize that the knife was originally SE, even if he didn't mod it.

(I realize that I used a lot of eye-roll emotes in this post, but the subject matter was eye-roll-worthy :p )

The only reason that I made it a question instead of "look at this idiot" is because the Tasman Salt is the only knife out now that resembles the Merlin. He MIGHT have thought it was the same thing. THEN I realized he changed "H-1" to "ATS-55" and I would bet my life that ATS-55 is not rustproof. If he's not a real knife guy he might not have noticed the SE-to-PE switch, but still, he had the chance of being oblivious but he is definitely a con-man.

The knife definitely looks like it was originally serrated. Obviously the seller doesn't know any better or doesn't care.

Ebay is the #1 place IMHO were sellers do this to make a buck.

Con Man.

I just don't think the blade looks right with that much steel removed. It looks awkward, not to mention the warranty is probably voided. :p

Yep, that blade definitely either started out life with serrations or was sharpened once or twice too often. :D May have started out life as a Merlin, but now it looks more like a Bortion to me. :p

He could be from the school of folks that use Dremel tools and grinding wheels to sharpen. Either way, not a very forthcoming description.
