I think the Sage concept is really cool and will definitely pick one up at some point. Does anyone know if the 3" blade length is the cutting edge or from the handle? This would make a great new office knife for me, but we have a 3" limit where I work.

I am certainly interested in BB lock (never tried one), which seems to be the only real Spyderlock to compete with an Axis. Compression lock, although potentially better then Axis, presently develops, rather fast according to reports (ParaMillie), a blade play.
Sage will get many locks but the most interesting one, an Axis, not. At least, I doubt it. Pity.

Check some of the other Sage posts. According to Sal the next variation will have the Chris Reeve Integral Lock. One new variation per year possibly two. :D
It's better to have knife and not need it than to need a knife and not have it.

What a beauty! :spyder:
I like the blade shape a lot, very "leaf" like. The handle is what I am excited about, I see it's more like the Calypso Jr, than the Caly = That is, it's wide at the pivot area, as apposed the Caly, which is narrow.
I have no problem with the liner lock on a knife this size, won't be stabing and twisting with it.
