I had toys like that when I was a kid. Had I known they would command those kind of prices, I would have held on to them!

I know someone who has payed nearly that for some cap guns ($250 each). I guess the value of everything is just what some collecter is willing to pay for it!

The sharper they are the less they hurt when you cut yourself. :spyder:

Cap guns are worth a fortune.
I have seen collections at gun shows, some of them are in the thousands of dollars. Most of the real high dollar ones are from the fifties but I saw a couple I had as a kid that were well over 100.00 each.

Maybe it's just me (I doubt it), but all I can think of is how many Spyderco knives I could get with that much money. :p

Of course, the people who would be interested in that auction would probably look at the kind of prices some of us pay for our Holy Grails and think about how many Cap Guns they could buy! :D

I know old toys can bring crazy prices, my best friend collects them. I gave him an old wind up toy (Indian riding a horse) in mint condition only to find a month later, the same toy (in fair condition) at FAO Schwarz for $700.0:eek: It's just that it hits home when I remember buying cap gun sets for less than $20.00 when I was a kid.
