Has the Kris been discontinued?
Can anyone verify this? I would like to get one of each of Schempp's designs. Which have been discontinued and which are available? :confused:

The (Full Size) Persian and the Kris are the first two Ed Schempp Spyderco models, both are discontinued.
The Kris is easily found, and will be for a few more months yet.. it was only discontinued at the end of last year.
The (Full Size) Persian is somewhat difficult to find, as it was discontinued earlier and dealer stocks have generally depleted.
Note also, that the larger Persian is not to be confused with the smaller Persian which is still easily found: An easy way to tell the difference is by the shape of the bolsters.

Kris (c104) has been discontinued but you can still buy it from SFO.
C83 Persian has been discontinued as well.
C105 75mm Persian is still in production.

There's a full-size Persian on Ebay right now for sale, no reserve, which I would definately jump on if you're interested in the first Schempp. They command pretty high prices and used ones have been going for around $220...I wouldn't be surprised to see a NIB full sized Persian for for higher..
