I use 3 retailers for knives and such. All are out of stock. It's clear that there has been a "little problem" with getting this item to market. The fact that one or two retailers have stock does not change that.
My Spyderco knives: C95 Manix (x2), Dragonfly, Endura, Rescue, S1 Salt (x2) (EDC), Flat Byrd, Tenacious
Other: BM Rukus (x2)(EDC), BM Skirmish, BM Mini-Griptilian, Fallkniven S1, CS Spike, Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn Covert, Gerber LMF II Infantry Knife, CS Finn Bear, Ontario RAT-7 (x2), many Ontario machetes

:spyder: It looks like you'll need to be patient. I'm sure 6 months will fix everything. :) :spyder:

Making a big deal out of a couple of weeks doesn't make sense when it comes to Spyderco. Folks wait months, even years for the model they want.

Either buy from a different retailer, or learn patience. Just don't get your point. Either switch to a retailer that gets the shipment, or wait... I try not to read this thread, as I don't want to offend you by laughing, but I can't help it. Not being mean, just find humor in this thread.

Hi Redback,

Spyderco is rather infamous for slow delivery. It seems to be a common joke around here. (We try to be tolerant).

The 3x8 UF took more than 5 years of persistant efforft with our vendor. It is a very difficult stone to make. We were thrilled just to be able to make it. Then we ran into some difficulties in making a leather pouch for it (quality issues).

We are sorry for your disappointment, but as mentioned, patience is more often than not required. Much of what we do has not been done before and it is very difficult to accurately determine delivery dates.

The Jens Anso Rock Lobster has been more than 3 years "in-the-works". It will finally come out this summer (estimated) and production is limited.

I will admit it is often frustrating for us as well, but we have learned that it is difficult to push the river.

We are a small company and we try to do big company things.

Thanx much for your patience and kind understanding.

I'm looking forward to buying a few of the 306UFs, Sal, and I'm trying to be patient! :-)

Still no stock

Amazingly, and annoyingly, my retailer has STILL not got stock, and is still waiting for the item to arrive from the supplier, who in turn is still waiting on Spyderco. What a circus.

Just a thought, but maybe Spyderco is setting up its retail authorized dealers (i.e., retailers who have a direct relationship with Spyderco) before wholesalers.
