Stretch II...I'm hooked :)
Hi, I am new to the forum, though I have been lurking for a bit and I have to say you guys are wonderful. After an incident out with the horses I decided I needed to start carrying a bigger knife. After playing with a friend's :spyder: s and doing some research I ended up here. After continually coming back to the Stretch when looking through selections of :spyder: s different places and seeing the good things you guys said about them, I decided to get one. I don't like the Kraton on the original Stretch, so I opted for the II and I love it! I have been carrying it for a little more than a week and I honestly feel lost when it isn't in my pocket. Which is weird since I haven't ever carried a knife this big on a regular basis. Anyways, pictures of my collection as it stands later and thanks again for the help in finding a wonderful knife!
WELCOME ABOARD!
I have a stretch II in mind after Christmas. Looking forward to your pics. When you are ready to add to your collection, check out the Caly 3. Like you said about your Stretch, I can not imagine going anywhere without my Caly 3 (well maybe not the courthouse, but you get the idea).

Thanks for the welcome! So far I haven't had any problem carrying it on campus or in lab. Though I have gotten a few interesting looks and questions on whether I need to carry something this big.
We shall see what the next one is, I really like the blade shape on the Stretch not so sure on some of the others. I also have a thing for CF, I work with growing carbon nanotubes which are kind of similar. :)

lol, Ms. Blonde would be more appropriate, though I would probably respond faster to chemist. :) And no, there is no connection between myself and the illustrious Mr. Blonde that was on this forum long before I.rolyat1978 wrote:Mr. Blonde,
Welcome to the forum. I have been a spyder fan for years and mostly just lurk around the forum these days. This is the most helpful and friendly online forum you'll find around...
Sal, I absolutely love this knife! I got to meet the maker of my other favorite, so one of these days I may have to make a trip to Colorado to come visit.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.
