These are the first pics I've taken with my new camera and obviously I'm doing something wrong, haha... I'm still trying to figure the thing out so bear with me. :D
Just having terrible troubles taking close-up shots. There is a macro feature on this camera somewhere, I just have to FIND it! :o Supposedly I can focus on pictures up to 0 cm which is in contact with the lense... lol
Now, believe it or not, but that yellow stuff is WHITE printer paper, lol! Don't ask me how that happen. God forbid I read the instruction manual. :p
Well... I am no expert. Looks like you got the key point (holding the camera still) right ^^b . Try to adjust your white balance setting; if the pics are still yellow after adjustment, modify the "blue component" a bit then you will get what I did (hope you don't mind I adjusted your Para).

Well, I found the macro. But that's not all, I found the SOOPER MACRO, LOL! :D It works veeeerry well. I'll get some pics up later. I'm gonna take a pic of the strange malformation on the blade stamp on my Delica, too.
Congratulations on the new camera and beautiful pieces of steel... Hopefully you'll master that one, and the pics you'll be posting soon (maybe tomorrow) will be in par w/ the "masters of the super macro" you know who you guys are :D .....
