Dear... God...

Next thing you know they're going to tell Mall Santas not to stuff pillows under their coats, because it's offensive to fat people.

Idaho, OMG that is funny! :D I have never thought of that before. If that leaves this forum then they will probably consider it LMAO! But seriously there is always a group of people out there who are just trying to be a pain in the @$$, so you just have ignore their BS and then laugh at them.

Really, its not even the company's fault. Blame the millions of lawyers and greedy parasites that hire them to file frivolous lawsuits all around the world. Fact is, at some point, somebody probably WILL try to sue some Santa for calling them a hooker.

Not a wit, Jordan...

I actually worked for one of those millions of lawyers & his ungrateful
clientele. A lot of insurance companies are now not settling cases &
taking matters to litigation ( which, by-the-way can last for years )
companies are also allocating their holdings to a safer Europe ( which is
less litigous ). Soon we'll see alotta lawbending types outta work!

Personally, I liked the late James W. Marshall as a person & friend.

Here it comes again... During the dictatorship of Ceausescu, it was forbidden to use the term "Santa Claus" because they said it had a religious resonance: Santa - saint, you get the picture...
Instead, we were "stimulated" to call it Grandfather Frost, after the model our Russian Eliberators introduced.
The inventive Romanians combined the two appelatives in one word which in Romanian describes better... err... a woman with her legs spread wide open :o
Now if I think well, the red suit Santa wears has a comunist touch, isn't it mr. McCarthy? :P

Heh, what a concept. I guess to be politically correct, it would have to be 'Ida - Sex Trade Worker'. :D

Maybe the next step is that they'll claim saying Come sit on Santa's lap is evocative of a dirty old pedophile. Yeah, it's as crazy as the ho ho ho deal and "freedom fries" but it's hard to imagine what you can put past people these days when it comes to personal offense combined with litigiousness.

As the soviets have since withdrawn & Romania ( I gather ) is in competent
hands, :spyder: s reign supreme in Campina & elsewhere ( I hope ). In the
State the later Romans named during the later empire ( 2nd - 4th cent. AD )

I'm surprised "tailgunner Joe" didn't latch-on to that bit about Santa's "red"
suit! I don't know if you've seen that movie eastern promises about
the red mafiya yet, but there's a wicked looking hawkbill carried by one of the protagonists in it.

I can't read the article posted at work, so I won't comment on that. But a slimmer santa wouldn't bothere me at all. The only fat santa is the North American Santa. Father Christmas is actually a pretty slim dude. Either way he still gives me my presents and that makes me happy. :D

**edit** just finished reading the article...and that is absolutely lame.
