Pink Delica Fever!

#1

Post by Mr Blonde »

Like many others here I didn't miss a beat to sign up for a pre-order list, when the Delica 4 was announced to be released in a run in pink. I'm very happy with these. Adding a pink spydie has always been a bit of a 'holy grail' for my collection.

Image

The knives 'walk and talk' like any of my Delica 4s. The inside of the handles look particularly clean and well finished, but maybe that has something to do with the bright pink color reflecting more light inside the handle. The pink color is very bright; you could clip two of these on your arms for a safe evening jog. Carrying this pink Delica should be fun, I'm curious to learn what my friends will say. :D

I bought mine off the exchange at BladeForums....can't wait until it comes in! I don't know if it will dislodge my Delica 3 SE from my pocket, but only time will tell :D

I'm glad you got some pink Delicas, Wouter! Have fun and don't show it too often to friends :D

BTW: Would you tell me what background you used for these pictures?

I did get a chance to show off my new knife to some family members. They thought it was 'very' pink, but quickly warmed up to it. The term 'cute' bounced around the room and they were not referring to me I can assure you.

For a background I used my wife's new Coach purse; I figured one is going to live in there anyways. Unfortunately, she'd like to see a smaller knife in this color.

I guess I missed out on the first run P'Delicas. I hope to score during the next 500 (or the third 500?).

None of my friends or co-workers would say mean things about my carry. They know me. I AM a nice guy.

Strangers on the street or in a store might be another matter. They don't know me.

I am nice guy even to the ignorant.

To a point.
Not really all that slick ;)

Hi all Im new here and from the UK, pleased to say I was lucky enough to get a pink one too (fingers crossed not arrived yet) there seem to be plenty on e-bay at a reasonable price considering there is supposed to be only 500 made.

Best wishes from the UK

Welcome to the Spydie forums! :D
There isn’t any symbolism. The sea is the sea. The old man is an old man. The boy is a boy and the fish is a fish. The shark are all sharks no better and no worse. All the symbolism that people say is ****.

So far, a 1000. 500 for the initial run, and another run because the first batch was oversold.

I just received word that NGK has received one with my number on it. This seems like the perfect thing to put away for my 8 yo daughter maybe as a HS graduation gift. Knowing her though she'll think it's too "girly" as she already prefers camo to pink!

Sorry for the extreme OT, but what is NGK? And do they have a website? I tried google and the searchengine.

Thanks
