Looks like your ok to carry a normal everday knife, but go to your local police dept don't call and show them the knives that you carry to make sure.

after reading this i think that the more it looks like a tool to the officer the better. i know you posted getting a spydercard as a minor the police might give you a hard time if they find it. due to its concealed nature. the law reads it is furishing the weapon to the minor not the minor carring. when i was 14 i carried a SAK all the time but that was quite awile ago and in texas were 5 1/2" knife can be legally concealed. the sheeps foot and dyads seem less like the "...dirk, bowie..." style. good luck kraziekurtis.

I think J. Smith gave you good advice, but take the time to wrap it securely. You also might go with a parent which shows that they're on board with your choice.

The more you work with and within the system,
the more flexability the system can show. Of course, the police may say no, but wouldn't it be better to find out now, before it's too late?

Although...as Gertrude Stein once said, "It's better to ask forgiveness that permission.

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

Read ( very carefully ) the wording : ANY
dirk, bowie knife, switchblade knife, ballistic knife, razor ; 99% of Spyderco's
knife line fit ( nearly ) NONE of the
above. As for carrying "..hidden from
common observation.." All Spydies ( with
the exception of the Ladybug & Dyad Jr. )
have the patented spyder clip, which does
NOT obscure them from "common observation". Note also that NO REFERANCE
was made to "common pocket knives".
Hope this helps you.

Sincerely,

A.E.T.

yeah i just turned sixteen i'm always carrying either a Cricket or a Calypso or some such beast and i've never had a problem. Keep it clipped to your pocket and its not "concealed". As long as you use it responsibly, you should have no problems.
