Those are my kind of soldiers. Reminds me of myself when I was in the army ;)

Personally, I have no problems what-s0-ever with artistic expression and the full freedom to develop creativity for the sole purpose of self satisfaction. This "cam0-art" surely would make a strong USMC statement, or help create a political incident flying over certain landmarks in Najaf.

Nose art

rolyat1978-

That remind's me of the nose art used frequently during
WWII on USAAF aircraft. If java were here now he could
comment on this as well.

I don't believe the CO will have the jarheads remove it ; it's good
for morale ( especially during wartime ).

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds, awake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it reality.

The female form adorns numerous cemetaries and art galleries as well. However there are always "reformers" trying to save us from our prurient leanings.

Rubens, Botticelli, Sandro, and da Vinci be damned.....I guess we poor ol' animals jus' don' know whut's good fer us. PC - shmee-see I'll stick with the cool colorful keister-canvas creations carefully copied aqui that will conceivably can my coffee craving corpus from this community of kuhnife connoisseurs........

Nose art...keister art. Long may it fly!!

It really made sense for the WWII nose art on the bombers to boost morale. The bomber guys suffered a higher casualty rate than anyone...even the beach chargers.

Estimates of 50% or more loss rates were common, and acceptable, for initial raids. George H. Bush was the only survivor out of all the TBMs and SBDs that dicthed or crashed during the raids on Chichi Jima.

We're stuck with more PC mid-fuselage art on the F-16s I play with today

F-15s have it a bit better....

Ravens and Aardvarks were pure PC. I'm too embarassed to show the maudlin crap they painted my beloved Aardvarks with. :(

Wart Hogs fared a bit better....
