My dad gave me a haircut when I was little and it stuck up all over the place so when the sun got behind me, my blonde head looked like a lit up light bulb, so that's the first part, started out as bulby, after that it was shortened to bulb. Some kid couldn't pronounce bulb and called me blub. That stuck! Cursed forever! :D

Well, I'm a police officer by profession. In the movie "The Chase" with Charlie Sheen, there is a scene where Henry Rollins, who is playing a cop, is talking into the camera a la "COPS". (There is a cameraman and reporter riding along with him and his partner on patrol.) He mentions that he is just a "standard issue street soldier", and not a hero or anything.
That line struck a deep chord with me.
Hence, Street Soldier.

My Hero
Street Soldier, they call some people a hero because they end up in circumstances that calls for a reaction. To me a hero is some one that knowingly accepts a job that may put them in harms way while attempting to protect others. I believe this to be true even if those circumstances are never met. You sir have gained my respect for accepting this resposibility. Be safe and be careful while you are out there watching my 6.street soldier wrote:Well, I'm a police officer by profession. Episteme, my screen-name, is the term that Aristotle uses (greek, of course) in his "Posterior Analytics" in which he lays out his foundationalist-empiricist epistemology (theory of knowledge). "Episteme" has been translated to mean approximately "knowledge of the scientific type", which is sought after by way of adhering to Aristotle's philosophy of science/epistemology in his "Posterior Analytics".
