I'd have to pick out one of Sal's mules he used to test some great steel that never made it to production. I'd never sell or trade it for any amount. Perhaps a handmade Sal forged custom! Joe

Spyderfly, hands down.

It is hard, extremely hard to choose just one.
After long deliberation, it would be SHABARIA.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

I'm thinking the Yachtsman, which was never produced, would be on the top of my list.

Jot Singh Khalsa

Post by Firefighter880 »

If I could go back in time to get one Spyderco model, prototype or even a production run, it would be the Jot Singh Khalsa.

I wasn't exposed to Spyderco until after this beauty was taken off the shelves, and I wish I wouldn't have missed it.

The 75mm Persian, it would make a nice set with the Ed Schempp proto, production version, and Marcus Hunt engraved one which I have.

even something produced accross the pond like a "first one made" titanium herbst proto would add another dimension for all the dudes chasing down that model. i'm fortunate to have a pe "first" ti herbst and enjoy it. i am intrigued by the whole production ordeal  of this knife and i also just plain like it's design. an actual prototype of one of these would certainly not escape my collection! :)
...and deacon: jeepers, you really are off to a nice start on your ed schempp collection...proto and all...nice.
