Just want to convince Sal to give us some knives with stonewashed blade. Please help to be successful.

Sorry... can't put my finger on what stonewashed blades look like?

Can you post an example? Is that like what SOG uses... X-ray Vision, Seal, Seal Pup, etc? Or am I completely wrong?

So far up till now I think that is the only Spyderco that is STONEWASHED to my knowledge.

I absolutely love STONEWASHED blades. I would absolutely love it if they would offer the SUPERHAWK and the P'kal both in STONEWASHED. Now they could also offer them in satin as well but a STONEWASHED version would just be cool.

It would also be a cool marketing strategy if they would bring back some of the older, classic models in STONEWASHED as well.

I'm a fan of stonewashed it just has a very cool look to it. Its also something different from the plain jane normal finish.

That goes for me too.
It looks cheap to me.
We used to have a machine doing this for deburing parts, there is nothing to it.
And I don't like the finish anyway, sorry to disapoint you.

Truth is, I don't really care what type of blade finish my knife has. Maybe I prefer polished, but other than that, it depends on the knife itself if I will buy it.

If the SWICK was stone washed, then I'm definitely for satin, since I thought it looked terrible. Reminded me of the old galvanized garbage pails from back when I was a kid. Image

I prefer satin over stonewashed also, but Benchmade has some knives that have a really nice "crossover" finish. The blades are satin finished with a very light stonewash, but they still lean towards the satin side. That is my absolute favorite finish for any blade. Is there a name for this finish?

Personally, the SW looks cool, but since it makes the steel more vulnerable to corrosion.....I actually prefer a more "polished" finish....

Stonewashed or Satin?

Stonewashed blades are looking rather good. I think on knives like Sebenza or Alias. It is at any rate one of several posibilities (Oh, what an English.....)! :p

I do like satin over SW,
but in some cases SW looks better on a particular knife.
But it also depends on what you are going to do with the knife.
Satin is more suited for the safe queens
and SW is more forgivable and better for a user IHMO.
For production the SW finish is cheaper to produce.
