Isn't it about that time?
I vote for the 07 forum knife to be the new textured SS PE Dragonfly.

I'm fairly new to the forums and I would love to know how one goes about getting a 2007 forum knife. Are there certain qualifications, a sign-up,etc.? Thanks.

If Spyderco decides to make it they will take preorders through the SFO and ship to you when the engraving is done.

I think the Caly 3 would be an excellent choice.

Blue G10 would be great.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

Thanks JSmith. I, too, would vote for the PE Textured Dragonfly. Of the 2007 knives I've seen, that is the one I am most looking forward to. I would love to see it as the forum knife.

Actually, no... it is too early (I think). Did a quick search. It looks like the 2006 forum knife was announced in April.

Besides, the 2007 models haven't become available yet. Not sure if public opinion counts on the picking of a forum model, but if it does... People have to at least see the new models, right? ;)

On a side note: How many 2006 forum knives were produced?

I am thinking that now or at least in the next couple weeks would be a very good time.Extra cash from income tax will be coming into many.
Also if the engraving is on the scales with the textured SS it may look really nice. Not at all sure about that though.
Something else that Spyderco may not want to do but would be very cool is too make up 100-150 SS delicas with the textured scales and forum engraving. This would give us a forum knife that is not avalible the the general public.

SFO = Spyderco Factory Outlet

I'm a little bit curious if there will be annother spyderco forumite design. I was too late to get the forum adventura and lava, but I'm sure I'll get one this time :D

Any chance of the '07 knife being a G-10 Lava?

Doesn't hurt to ask.

Or green, like Lil Temp. Forum knife - Caly3, cannot be any better (at least for me). I am in for two.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian
