Random topic: What do you drive?/What would you like to drive?
I drive a 12 year old Lexus... bought it off the folks for real cheap. She's an old girl, and she's been around the block once or twice, but I love her.
In a perfect world, I'd be cruising in a 51 Triumph Thunderbird... coolest bike ever.

It looks like if you had a full size pickup with an 8ft. bed you could put the Smart car in it and haul it around. :D

Heh, a Backup Car!, just the thing for breakdownsDavid Lowry wrote:It looks like if you had a full size pickup with an 8ft. bed you could put the Smart car in it and haul it around. :D

thing is, the extra weight of the Smart would probably nuke your fuel mileage below it's already low rating, full size trucks aren't known for fuel economy.....

My wife has a 97 Explorer Sport, which I "borrow" occasionally :) The money we save by NOT having a second car, and putting up with some commute time and a little better planning is what's allowed me to get my 125+ production folders and fixed blades, my little workshop + toys for the shop, several mid range priced pool cues (mid - range for me is in the $500 - $1000 CDN range), and whatever. My dream car....hmmmm...likely something like a BMW 525i or equivalent. Brand new, of course and in an ideal world, I would pay cash :) I like Beemers :D

I drive a 2006 Toyota Tundra, Double Cab, Limited, with the TRD Off Road Package. It is Spectra Blue Mica. I LOVE this truck!!
My dream vehicle? I am perfectly happy with my Tundra.

Cars I drive are my parents' Toyota Yaris Verso and Chrysler Grand Voyager SE (1998).
I'd love to have a Honda Civi (new model, god it looks good!), a Lotus Elise/Exige or an Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The car that will get my pants wet at all times is the Aston Martin DB9. It just looks perfect and sounds great (though I like a V8 rumble more). I must admit that the Casino Royale DBS wasn't too shabby either. :D

I have a 1974 Porsche 914 1.8. It need some work but is mostly in good shape. I bought it not running and now it runs but rough. My dream car would be 904 or a 930 or in all reality probibly a 928. If any one has a 914 pm me and maybe we can trade parts. :)

I think this might cover some of your requirements...Dr. Snubnose wrote:I need a new car and will by one this month...any suggestions? My only requirement is it must be more comfy than anything in your living room with electric adjustable seats on both sides, get like 100 miles to the gallon, corners well at 180mph, and last be not least have at least two tailpipes...Doc :D

WARNING: Sanity not guaranteed.
For work: an 06 Ford F-150 Super Crew XLT 4x4 with the 5.4L Triton.
To school: a very tired 94 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 convertible.
Everywhere else, my wife's 01 Nissan Xterra SE 4x4. That thing is like a backpack on wheels.
Dream cars: I'm a closet Porschephile, had a 924 (o.k. not quite a real Porsche) in HS. Hope to find an early 911 to restore. I wouldn't mind having an International Scout II either.

Dude, how do you like that Xterra? My wife and I are thinking about buying a 2007 model. How many miles does it have if I may ask?FedRich wrote:For work: an 06 Ford F-150 Super Crew XLT 4x4 with the 5.4L Triton.

My wife absolutely loves it. I think it is a little anemic (170 hp) but the 5 spd helps. The new models have a lot more horsepower, I believe up to 265. With 84k miles on clock, it has been really solid. From NE snow in 4wd or toting hurricane supplies, we really haven't had any major problems. Just replaced the original battery. I could see buying another one when the time comes, but its my turn next!
