Spyderco Temp. Closed - Blizzard

#1

Post by TazKristi »

Just to let you all know, we're temporarily closed due to a nasty blizzard. We may also be closed tomorrow, time will tell. I'll post an update. We're expecting a possible 26+ inches of snow in the metro Denver area.

Take care!

Kristi

I hope everything is ok with you, the Spydercrew and all people of Golden! Fortunately I live in a country where Blizzards are unknown.

Take care!

Hope everyone can keep warm and safe around the Spydie HQ.

Oddly, we may be looking at a green (and brown) Christmas in this part of Canada

Hope everyone at Spyderco stays warm and safe. On the positive side you'll have a white Christmas.

Definitely a green Christmas for me in Sarasota, FL. I spent all day fishing about 20 miles offshore in my boat yesterday. The high for the day was 81º F. Gotta love shorts, t-shirt, Spyderco visor and flip-flops on December 19th. :D :D :D

Well, I'm off to mow my lawn now!

I hope you guys all stay safe out there. I was in Colorado over the weekend to help move my sister back home. I spent the night at a motel in Denver and left that area on Monday morning. I guess I'm glad I got away when I did.

The question we're all wondering is ...

what knife will you all use to cut your way through all that snow?

J/K! Stay safe!

Thanks for letting us know Kristi.

Stay safe. I love snow so I would be hoping for tons of it.

How much do you get out there.......a few feet?

We only get about 8"-12" if that most years.

Did I say I love snow?

Ohio is funny. Up our way we got 120" last year (NE of Cleveland). Not much so far this year (9") but the season is early..... I think our average is around 96"

Still 26" at one time is a pretty good fall. You guys enjoy a well deserved rest.

So, when will we see the Spyderco folding snow shovel? I'd expect G10 handles (for grippiness when wet) and a lockback for strength in moving the white stuff. :D

Shovel? No! Trust me, the only thing that would work today is a plow! I'll see if I can post a picture a bit later. :)

Then it must be time to dig out your trusty grain scoop--nothing moves snow like the "poor man's plow"!

Although I sure don't envy the traffic you folks have down there....

I posted 4 pictures in the OT forum of what Lakewood looks like right now. The intersection is Colfax and Wadsworth.
