What's your favorite
& why?
To : ALL -
Posted something similar on

Me : SE cricket <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> - Compact,
lightweight, & "scary sharp" (in SE<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

How's it going, ATE?
My favorite <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> would have to be my PE Military. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Hefty 4" blade, solid lockup, and best of all, the lightweight and slim profile of the handle are my reasons for this Spydie always being close at hand. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Survive, Adapt, and Overcome...

Oooh tough question ATE <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
I guess the Mouse seems to get most carry. It's tough, looks good, and is small enough not carry and use in most situations without upsetting anybody.
I also love my Military - because of it's light weight and the way it disappears in the pocket. Needless to say, it's the best cutter of any folder I own. However, as it's so big, I don't carry it much.
I also love Crickets. Small, kooky, unique looks. Funnily enough I think I prefer the FRN SE to the plain CF & YY Crickets I own. Shame I sold it! <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Roll on the SS Crickets.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, **** yeah that's tough ATE!
If pushed to say exactly which <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> is my favorite RIGHT NOW it's a toss up between the G-10 Rookie or my Calypso micarta VG-10, thanks to KBR <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Ron

4 S TER> you ain't safe up here with that #1 of 300 Native... I might be able to protect it better over here in Saskatchewan...
Currently my favorite <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> is my CE Millie... 2.5" PE gives just enough to do most daily tasks, and the 1.5" SE is great for boxes(ask the pile in the bin at work)... only need a larger knife for chopping mushrooms, and thats my 5.5" Henkles(sp?).
just don't let my calypso jr lt see this post, it might decide to attack my fingers...
And shepherds we shall be, for thee my lord for thee. Power hath decended forth from thy hand so our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. And we shall flow a river forth to thee and teaming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, Et Filii, Et Spiritus Sancti.

My favorite spyderco has been my trusty dragonfly until I received the Native from Linda. However, for over a month, I hadn't dared to use the Native because of the thin tip. An unexpected opportunity came up where I found that the Native was close by, and ever since that event, it's been at my side 6 weeks straight and counting.

svass: I second your opinion, but for me, it's a best small blade folder that I've ever had. Fit my hand well, agressive cutting steel. It's a very nice piece.
Too bad I lost it somewhere.
I'm impressed by the Chinook as my long blade folder, but I actually prefer the Renegade because it's a clip point (I like to see more traditional looking spydies actually), a nice tip, excellent edge, and it fits my hand just as well. G10 handle is very nice (although I wish the texture is more like the newer Military), and I just say enough good things about it. It probably needs a more pronounced intregral choil.

Morph, the Native tip isn't as weak as it looks.
I've got 3 now and wouldn't hesitate to use either of them, alot has been said about how weak the GIN-1/2 steel is as used in the 1st generation Natives.
I find it to be comparable to AUS-8A for edge holding abilty, in fact it was my favorite EDC for many years.
Then along came the G10 Rookie SE <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> i love so much, but all 3 Natives still make it into the rotation. Ron
