As always, such things are dependent upon one's use and expectations for a knife. While I am very pleased with the Calypso Jr Ltwt I bought, and even more the Native, I can't see that one can get any more knife for the money than the Endura for $45. I'm not sure one has to stay in the Spyderco fold to say that.
When the VG-10 is used for the Endura/Delica, and the price changes made, I can't help but hope that it will be even more true then than now.
The Calypso JR lightweight was a favorite on an EDC thread. I also think it's the definite "most bang for the buck". I've been trying to dull mine (within reason)but it's still scary sharp, and I like the way it looks and handles.
I guess you are right. I think in my terms of what I use the knife for daily, which is light office/home stuff. To someone who needs a knife for heavier, maybe outdoor chores the Endura might seem a better deal.
I'm going to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend and I will certainly be busting out my Endura. (and some other toys)
