SS Civilian

#1

Post by Mancer »

Hi, anyone got any pics of the old SS Civilian, I went to the Combat Tech site to look for the training tape and next to the info on the tape they got a pic of a guy with a Civie in his hand, looks like a SS version which Ive never seen before (only read about)

Would be interested in getting a look at it if anyone knows of pics online.

Many thanx

SS Civilian????
Never heard of one! There are old aluminium Civvys without tuffram covering. Could the civvy you saw be one of those?

Erm, I mean the ol Civies with the metal handles, Ive seen some sites saying "Stainless Steel handle Civilians no longer available"

I thought it was like the Native2 or Harpy2 with a SS handle, anyways I mean the one with the shiney metal handle and not the black G10.

Thanx

I remember one guy selling part of his civvy collection (more than a year ago). He told (he wrote) that he had all versions civilian had been made: plain edge aluminium no tuffram, serrated alum., plain tuffram coated alum. handled, serrated tuffram, serrated g-10. I can't remember if there has ever been any prototype plain edged g-10 civilians but if there has been I'm pretty sure he had one.

The pics of aluminium civilians looked like noncoated Al handles would be shinier than SS handles.

Tommi,

Dude you have a great memory. Although it has been clooser to 2 years ago that makes you that much better. I sold them on the OTHER forum. Here are some photos of the collection I sold. The one you guys are speaking of is the brushed aluminum C12.

Hope this helps, Terry
