My first real Spyderco was the Native. Very light, big enough to do almost any job and small enough to be legal

Congrats on your first knife ;)

Mine was a SaltI.

Welcome to the forums. Does your Salsa have the logo/salsa on the handle? I have a blue one like this.

Excellent score! I used to have a blue salsa and I liked it a lot. Now I 'just' have a cranberry and ti Salsa. :D An upgraded version is in the works though.

I'm keeping my ears open for the "S"- for those who hadn't seen the pics from the A'dam show, it's the skeletonized Salsa like the Q, R and R2. How can a Lum design go wrong? :cool:

Aloha and welcome inzane,

salsa is a cool knife. My wife has a green and red one, and I got a Ti-Anodized CE done by SC_Rebel.

Enjoy your :spyder: , and thank God you and my knifebrother spydutch aren't posting back to back! :p :D

God bless from Oahu, 1414hrs. :)

Hey there, Inzane- Being new to the Forum, you have to check out this thread: Ted's Amsterdam Report- April 2006

Ted has one of the best, if not THE best historical site on all Spyderco knives from start to finish. Check his site out if you get the chance.

Here's some pics from his thread, showing the "S":

Salsa, part Two, eh? ;)

Thanks, Ted, for the pic relay!

[quote="zenheretic"]Hey VWTattoo....the Salsa is not a Lum design. ]

Thanks Zen, for the clarification. I must have picked that up from the Forums along the way, as I do recall reading that before.... Sorry to spread "evil" rumors! Still, it's a great lil' guy! I now stand corrected... :D
