Any information about "Gin-1"

I own a spyderco knife looking like the cricket. It has a metal handle in dark grey. It looked like Almite covered Aluminium. On the blade (plain edge)was written "Gin-1". Is this the name of the knife?. What material is the handle?, How long discontinued?, Other types of this knife?, Last selling price? Thank you !

Sounds like your knife is one of the original Crickets. The "Gin-1" refers to the blade steel used. The scales are aluminium but there has been some discussion here as to whether they are anodised or coated with Tufram. I think they have been discontinued for a couple of years but they are much sort after. I bought mine for US$60 but I have seen them for sale for US$80 and one bloke was asking US$200!!!!.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow, in Australia it's tomorrow already.
