'allo I'm new!

i've owned a Spyderco for a few years now, a Harpy to be exact. i've always ment to get at least one more mostly so i could send my Harpy in for sharpening/repairs (it is in very natty shape). this wasn't a possibility for me for some time due to my rather less than "good" job and the less than good pay i got doing it. well those times are gone and i now have a fair amount of play in my monthly income and was able to buy a new knife. the first new Spyderco i purchased was a Karambit, which once in hand i realized would not do me well as a daily carry. don't get me wrong, it's a bloody brilliant knife but it's a little too... scary... to be carrying around all day in public. my next purchase was a Centofante IV. i love this knife, makes for a very nice daily carry and didn't cost me too many pennies. only downside was... it got me addicted. a week after i recieved my Centofante i found myself buying a Crow and a SS Kiwi which should be arriving at my door step any day now.

so here's my collection of Spyderco (i have other knives as well, not pictured). well my current collection anywho, soon the torn up Harpy will be heading out.

i must say though the SpyderEdge on a VG-10 blade is amazingly tough. i have never sharpened the thing and have used it almost daily and it still will cut through most anything without too much difficulty and shows almost no wear (such as edge curling). granted i never do anything much harder than cutting corrugated cardboard but it's held up well. i'm more concerned about the blade being slighting loose (most likley do to the drop/flick open i tend to do) and the missing screw in the pocket clip.
