That knife looks great in the hand, but then that what I expected from DAYWALKER.

Thanks for the pics my friend.

Aloha ghostrider,

Thanks much for the compliments and don't worry about missing things here...Shoot, I have a ton of catching up to do and must have already missed a LOT. :o :(

BTW, the angle of the Lava in hand makes an incredibly fast and accurate, uh...well...remember that fight scene Bruce had with Ohara in Enter the Dragon? ;)

God blesses you Knifebro...take care

I figured I'd bump this thread, and say congratulations on being the 2006 forum knife. I'm looking forward to getting one of these in my hand.

Congrats on the Lava being selected as the Forum Knife. A well deserved recognition for a distiguished forumite. :)
(Needless to say I will get myself one of these)

OK, that last picture in post #125 shows what I wanted to see. The Lava looks kind of odd (what :spyder: doesn't?) by itself or just being held, but the photo showing it on a cutting surface really shows off the ergonomics. Brilliant!

Mahalo Ed Meinel,

Yes, it is a..."unique design". However, there is a reason for why it looks the way it does...you'll see. ;)

Hail Daywalker!

As the designer, how would you feel about a reverse S or hawkbill blade on the Lava chassis?

A Dodoish blade would suit this one quite well.

Daywalker,

This is my first post here but I just had to congratulate you on your Lava knife design. I like the look of it a lot. This may end up replacing my Meerkat and become the new companion to my Manix. Great job. You couldn't have picked a better knife company to produce it either.

If at all possible, please either don't change the proto's blade design or offer both it and a Dodo-like version. IMO the proto's blade design would be more sheeple-friendly.

Aloha zen',

Hey bro, a Reverse S or a wharnie blade would do very well in the C110...not too sure on the Hbill though...Oh man, but Scott hit it on th nose. I think a Dodo blade would look like it "belonged" in the Lava... ;)

God bless and C is not for "cookie"...it's for C110! :o
