they all sound great jaislandboy, but I can only afford one right now. I may just have to be prudent and get a delica 4. While I did enjoy handling the dodo alot, at the time I didn't think it would be a great EDC. Alot of that might have been my desire for a big knife at the time though.

Where are UKPKs sold, and how much would one cost? I like the idea that they is no way for it to be construed as a gravity knife by the local and campus PD who I would not consider to be the most honest of officers. I definately think a college requires a conservative knife.

Also, what would I expect to pay for a ZDP delica4? I remember preorders with a set price, but I dont remember what that is, or will be. Also, how is ZDP on the sharpener? I have a DMT diamond benchstone that can cut pretty fast for reporfiling and such, but I would like to hear a few experiences. I remember when the ZDP caly jr came out everyone was very pleased with the steel. Have opinions changed at all?

These threads really help me work out what I like. I think I had more of a collectors and gadget impulse towards the dodo.

After reading all those considerations, I think the Dodo is the way to go. It is lighter and better than the Polywog. A ZDP Delica could be considered as well ;)

I just realized that there may be an exception to the lefty clip requirement. I really like the almite walker. I have handled it once and really enjoyed its feel and smooth action. It would also be small enough (and hopefully light enough) to carry at the top of my left pocket. How does this compare? I am plenty dexterous to manipulate the lock left handed.

Zerileous, I'm a lefty and I love Calypso Jr. too.

Recently, I got myself Delica 4 SS and it instantly became my new EDC. Reasons why I like it that much you can read here - in my first post on this forum!
