Left handers think with the right part of the brain.

I am lefty with firearms, compound bows and writing, all else is right handed.

It is a real pain in the butt sometimes to be left handed. God bless the manufactures who make things that will work right or left.

I'm a lefty that's cursed by a right-hander's world! My father always liked to say to people, "Oh John, he's 'Not-quite-right'!" This will all come out in therapy someday! :)

I have to say that the initial reason I gravitated so heavily towards Spyderco was the fact they made an ambi- opening knife. I couldn't stand the one-hand openers of the day, with the stud only set up for right handers. I do however, find myself limited by Spyderco's offering of knives that have ambi clips, as I will only EDC a knife in my left pocket. Let's cross our fingers (on our left hands.... :) ) that Spyderco will offer either more ambi knives, or more dedicated lefty's like the CF Police that are on their way.

Right master eye, so I shoot right handed except for quick draw. Better fine motor skills with the left hand, so I use knives and chisels left handed most of the time and scissors left handed all the time. Write right handed nowadays, but at one time I could write almost equally well with either hand, print well with my right foot, and print legibly with my left. Went with the right hand for writing mostly because I had a thing for fountain pens when I was a kid, and when I wrote lefty, I smeared the ink too often.

Natural left, forced ambi by school.

I use whatever equipment is available. Prefer left handed tools if I can get em(the boss ordered a left handed cutting machine just for me at the tarp factory, he was the only other leftie at that time). I can shoot, bat, catch & draw with either hand, but usually write right handed(gel pens smear less this way, especially with a extra fine [0.2mm] tip). Before I fubar'd my wrist I'd just write with whichever hand was closest.

I'm just waiting for :spyder: to bring out a knife us right minded ppl and not make any right handed models of it, you know, like something in a left handed liner lock :p

didn't know there were so many of us amongst spyderknuts... doesn't really surprise me, seeing as we are known to be more creative and live fewer years. I'd say playing with razor sharp pieces of steel during idle moments has some sort of causal or symptomatic relationship with both of those attributes.

Don't be jealous because half the time we have to pay extra for left handed knives  :p ;) :o

We don't need to throw our weight around here, Sal takes good care of us, it's the other knife companies we need to harass. A liner lock with a reversible clip is NOT a left handed knife.
Sinister/sinistral =left dextrous/dexter= right....Hey does that make me a PoinDexter?

Yes the origin of words is very interesting. Sinister old= left handed, sinister new = roughly up to no good. Hmmmmmm

Ancient Greek word for actor= Hypocrit. Hypocrit in modern days...hey well seems to fit the "A" list actors pretty well. Hmmmmmm :p

I am right handed, but I can open and close the Military with the left hand as easy as with the right one. I also carry (comfortably) the Millie on the left side - which made me question myself if there really is the need for a dedicated lefty folder

It was not far back as I told Deacon, if we had a Lefties Alliance, he would be the prime minister, or chairman.
I am a leftie as well. Doing almost everything with the L, with the exception of using scissors, then righthanded for me pls.

Yes, but remember, in those days left handedness was often considered one of the "proofs" that someone was a witch or warlock, a desingnation that could be hazardous to your health. Left handed males were also considered dangerous since they could shake your hand and stab you at the same time. And in heraldry the "bend sinister" (diagonal stripe running from the top right to lower left) on a coat of arms denoted bastardry. So even then there were negative connotations attached to both left handedness and to the word sinister.

I'm actually right handed, but quite ambidextrous. I'm a strong lefty when it comes to cutting, but can open a blade with either hand.

are we in the twilight zone?

60% of members are left handed, that's gotta be 4 or 5 times the normal rate! :)

technically, you are right. Only about one in every 10 people is left handed. However, I will have you know that approximately 7 for every 10 astronauts have been left handed... also a somewhat disconserting number of serial killers...

But astronauts!! everybody likes astronauts...

here is something fun, did you fellas know the longest word that can by typed on the standard QWERTY keyboard using ONLY the left hand is stewerdesses?

As of when I voted, southpaws are outnumbering right handers.
