i havent had a bad enough spyderbite to recall as of late. But i do remember the day i got my CE Native III that my friend was cutting a free hanging piece of string and i walked out of the room and heard F*** and came back into to see him close the knife and walk very fast into the kitchen. He cut the tip of his left trigger finger off.
It was only a small portion of the tip and we were able to dress the wound quickly and afterwords just laughed about it and he learned his lesson.

.
Ah, good times.

Nothing serious for me

My first bite became with a careless spyderfly manipulation. Spyderfly and other balisong can be one of the easiest blade to have a wound in your hand.
I was really careful when I get this loved one. I KNEW that I must study slowly and only do the basic. A couple of weeks went well and I even learn a little dexterity ;) but then I get a good idea :D "why don't I try this same time when doing something else". The rest you can imagine.
It was my lucky to get only a little cuts :( not like westfork's friend's one

A two days ago I try to close my persian with one hand and snap it straight to my forefinger. Again lucky, slow motion and no deep cut but attention wander.......

Maybe I learn some day.......but so far........have to practise.......

Good luck to all of you :)

Jester opening

#24

sal wrote:Hi Chris,

Sorry about the cut. This is the first I've heard of a Jester opening accidentally. Any idea how it opened?

The rest of those cuts are pretty awful. Sorry. It's hard to make a very sharp edge that won't cut flesh.

I manage to cut myself 2 or 3 times per month. You'd think I'd know better

Sal-
I am afraid that I don't know exactly how it opened. At the time I had three keychains strung together and I can only imagine that a small key from the ring adjacent to the Jester got stuck through the spyderhole. With a key stuck like this the oprning may have occurred when I put the keys in my pocket(?). It is also possible that something happened outside of my pocket and I just didn't notice the blade (and managed no to cut myself) when sliding the keys into my pocket since it was 5am and I was extremely tired.

Some nasty cuts in here!

I haven't had anything bad, but it is my Jester that keeps trying to take a few nips at me. It doesn't open in my pocket, just me opening and closing funny.

Worst :spyder: bite was stabbing my thigh with the millie, good chunk of wide blade barely missed my femoral... last time I cut a waxed 4 wall tomatoe box against myself. Had a few that it grabbed pocket when putting it away, opening up and stabbing my hip(before I tightened it down).

"best"(most entertaining) :spyder: bite was also the last time I drank in excess. about 1/2 way through the night I got bored and was playing with my toys, opened my cricket left handed and followed through a bit off... end of the thumb, right up the middle of the pad to my nail. only about as deep as the serrations(and about 1/2" long), but fvck did it sting when I used my hand for anything in the next month.

most recent was when I got my SF, trying to find places to clip it for left hand use, clipped to the front left side of my belt, reached forward to draw it and stabbed my index finger.... hungry little bastard(or I was just due for another bite).

been doing fine the last month, so far...
