Pics are not a problem if production is planned within the next 6 months.

Chad's design wasn't in the proto case, it was in the production case. The sales team was taking orders on it.

Blade steel is VG-10, size is "Navigator'ish".

One will go to Leeds, A'Dam, Nurnberg with me, the other goes to Chad.

Congrats Chad.

WHoohoo!!! :D :D

left-hand carry! An excuse to buy two!!

Congrats Chad, as I remember it, it changed a bit from the proto version I handled last year. I like it a lot!

Would it come with teeth?

Hey Chad, I just had a great 10 minutes reading the posts in this thread. Too cool the amount of excitment this design of yours has genereated. I'm extremely happy for you right now and wish you and the Lava much success. Spyderco has done a first class job on this and I'd like to see them use the Lava as the '06 forum knife myself. Congrats my friend!

Beautiful design, I predict this one to be Spydercos most successful design of the year with a FRN model in the not to distant future. :D

Just when I thought I had all the knives I needed, I find myself needing another. This one will have to be experienced to be understood.

Congrats Chad,
A job well done and a reward much deserved.

Aloha ALL,

See, this is amazing...the :spyder: owner congratulating ME  ...I recall one of my first threads was "hats off to sal" for his involvement with his ELU's. I think it is worth repeating: Hats off to you sal, and it is I who dearly thank YOU, for being the way you are! BTW, thanks a LOT for drilling it for left hand carry...had you NOT done so, I would have been mobbed internationally for sure! :p

All that stuff in bold will have me "sleeping" like Vampyrewolf for sure!!! :D

God bless and mahalo,

I wouldn't say you'd be mobbed, we'd just try to make you feel guilty for the rest of your existence :p

Nah, I'm just happy it's ambi. I would have learned to use it right handed, but now I don't have to

Aloha Mr. lambert,

L :D L!!! My :spyder: Lava has much to prove before that happens ;) However, since you brought it up...

Just kidding! I was not gonna ask for a sprint run in FRN and H1 steel! No, not me! :p
