Sharpening a Hawkbill

#1

Post by bass »

I am trying to sharpen a Kershaw Talon with my Sharpmaker 204 following the instructions and I just can't seem to get an edge. Any suggestions as far as technique for this hawkbill?

Hi Bass. the original angle on the Talon may be wider than 40 degrees. Use the corner of the gray stone until it cuts paper easily. If the angle is wide, it may take 40 or fifty strokes to reshape the edge.
