Need Pics/comments; Manix vs Mini Manix

#1

Post by spydieman »

Does anyone have pics showing a side-by-side comparison of the Manix to the Mini Manix? I have the Manix and am seriously considering getting the mini Manix but would like to see the difference in size and width. The Manix seems to get bigger everyday. I think :spyder: should make the Manix in a fixed blade version.

Also, those who have a Mini Manix, how is it as an EDC, say compared to the Paramilitary or Native. I rotate my EDC primarily between a Paramilitary and Native.

I did post these pictures a while ago. The Manix 80 is still a rather big and heavy knife in the pocket as well as the hand but IMO somewhat better suited for general EDC. It is perfect for those who would like to EDC a Manix but find its size just a bit too much. For those used to a PM or a Native it might still be to much however.

Good pics, Gerard. I would have expected more of a size difference than what it appears to be. I don't think the weight if the Manix is too bad for EDC, but the size is a little more than most bystanders would be used to seeing, and it does take up a lot of pocket room. After seeing your pictures I may wait until I can physically hold a Mini Manix before I make a purchase. Thanks for posting the pictures.

You are welcome. You are right that it does take up about the same amount of pocket room as the Manix. Despite the size I find the shape makes it somewhat more NKP friendly than other designs of this size.

The more I look at the pics, the more I want the mini. I think I will get one anyway, regardless of size. :D

The mini is not a little knife at all, but it is one of my favorite knives!! Very nice pictures Gerard! Great for comparison.
