Tis the Season to Give ThanksÂ… Contest
Aloha ALL,
Thank you Ed and :spyder: for *this* contest especially...
I am thankful for everyday I am allowed to wake up & open my eyes, as this tells me that I have been granted another day to enjoy the blessings of the Lord.
I am thankful everytime I look upon my wedding ring, knowing that I have been blessed with an incredible wife.
I am thankful each time that I cover my daughter's feet with her blanket, or kiss her before she goes to school.
I am thankful for this being my second "home", and for all the friends and Knifebrothers I have made here. Incredible...
I am thankful for each time I come home and start unlacing my boots, this means I came home alive from either my shift and/or another forced shift in ****.
I am thankful for this lesson in patience that is being learned waiting for my :spyder: model to meet production...yeah, right!
I am also thankful for Colorado's World Famous Enstrom's Almond Toffee Candy!!! :D
God bless everyone, and Happy Holidays!

Hi Joyce, thanks for the fun.
There are many things I'm thankful for. I am thankful for everything that Spyderco means to me (and God knows it's a lot) :) When I come to the Forum and meet my friends here, I'm thankful. I am thankful to the Internet for all the great people I had the chance to know.
I am thankful that I can make my duty and my familly has all they need.
I am thankful that God takes care of all my friends and relatives.
When I'm looking to my beautiful wife and boys, I'm thankful. I am thankful when I see a sunny day and a rainy one as well.
And of course I couldn't be more thankful that God made me such a beautiful, inteligent and sexy person

Great contest idea, SpyderCrew!
I am thankful to have my family together this holiday, as my sister and her family have now made it out to PA, so I'll actually have my family here for Christmas. I've been alone on Christmas for 9 years, so this is truly a long time coming.
HAppy Holidays to my Spyderco Forum brothers and sisters! :)

As a newbie here (first post :) ) I am thankful for this forum. From what I have seen so far it looks as if will be overwhelmed with information. I am also thankful that my family is finally 'healthy'. After a few close calls, 'vacations', and scares, it turns out that we are all fine. :D
I look forward to spending time here, it seems that you have a respectable forum going here and that’s refreshing compared to what else is out there.

(p.s. :spyder: <- That's awesome!)

I don't know where to begin...
I'm thankful for my new wife, my new puppy, my old titanium Police Model, and a whole year of wonderful memories and experiences that I will have to help me through those times when things don't seem so great. I'm also thankful for my friends and family--a group of people I can count on to never let me float away (or buy a Microtech made after 2001).
Happy Holidays, everyone, and good luck in the New Year.

I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again.
I'm most thankful for the "Dragon Lady" and the four great kids and wonderful home she gave to me. I'm thankful that the deer in the backyard can run faster than my old Golden Retriever, Miss Murphy Brown who is getting doggie arthritis. I say thanks to all my friends, neighbors, and coworkers who are great people to be around. Lastly, thanks to all who helped, prayed for, and watched out for my son and daughter who returned safe and whole after their 18 month tour with the army in Iraq.
I am thankful for my wife of 49 years, our family especially our grandchildren they bring great joy to our lives. Especially thankful for our Grandson, Cody who lives with us, 17 years old (yesterday) H.S. Football Player and Shotgun Trap shooting expert, 3.5 grade pt average, very helpful to his Grandparents. He is also a Spyderco Knife fan and will receive his Grandfathers Spyderco Collection when the time comes. Thankful to be a Cancer survivor and for my career as a Rocket Scientist as I can continue working as a consultant to provide the things that my Grandchildren need.
Thanks Spyderco folks you are the best in the industry! :)

Wow. I had to really sit down and think about this one. I realized I have a LOT to be thankful for.
I'm thankful that our government doesn't spy on us.
I'm thankful that America doesn't torture people.
I'm thankful that we have equitable federal funding for public education.
I'm thankful that we've ensured equal access to healthcare for every hard-working American.
I'm thankful that the integrity of Social Security has been guaranteed for our children and grandchildren.
I'm thankful that our monetary supply is no longer backed by silver or gold, so the government can always just print more to pay for everything.
I'm thankful that we have other options for manipulating the value of a dollar, besides changing currency supply ... things like changing the prime rate, and constantly changing tax laws ... these prevent anyone from ever knowing the true value of our currency. What a great tool for thwarting subversive citizens looking to "make a buck."
I'm thankful that we're spending hundreds of millions to rebuild a war-torn country we destroyed ...
but not a dime to rebuild New Orleans.
New Orleans residents are *Americans*, **** it! Let them WORK for reconstruction.
I'm thankful that every major news outlet is now owned and operated by corporate conglomerates who know what's best for us all to see and hear.
I'm thankful that we have the wisdom to buy news stories in foreign countries, where we don't directly control the newsmaking machine. (What's $100 million for the right American P.R. in Iraq? Money well spent!)
I'm thankful for our record trade deficits that have brought us closer than ever to our foreign creditors.
I'm thankful for the massive spending we're all required to participate in this holiday season ... in terms of propping up our otherwise lackluster economy, we're all doing "a heck of a job."
I'm thankful for credit cards, home equity loans and interest-only mortgages. Without these, how could we ever appreciate the value of a dollar, or compete with our neighbors for conspicuous consumption?
I'm thankful that capital punishment has been abolished in the U.S. once and for all, because we've finally realized as a nation that "two wrongs don't make a right."
I'm thankful that our government is seriously considering a "flat tax" that would eliminate all itemized deductions including home mortgage interest, educational expenses, and childcare costs. What could be fairer than everyone from billionaries to paupers paying the same percentage in taxes, with no exceptions? The middle class couldn't possibly call this "regressive," right?
I'm thankful that I'm still allowed to carry a pocket knife ... as long as the blade is under three inches, doesn't open by gravity, inertia, or spring, is sharpened on only one side, is clearly visible to every passerby at all times, and is never used in self-defense under any circumstances.
