Sharpmaker warranty?

#1

Post by ruxton »

May seem a bit of an odd question but does the 204 have the same lifetime warranty as spyderco knives? I've had :spyder: s break on me before and I sent them to W&R and they have always either fixed it or sent me a new one. However my 204 has broken, there is alot of play in the stones when they sit in their holes and I worry it alters the degree of the edge. Also it has cracked on the 40degree side where the red line is on this picture.

This gives it alot of side to side play on the stones.

Any idea how the crack or play came about? Also, how long have you had it and how much use?

Let us know what Amanda says.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

The crack has been there for a while, a few months at least. I'm not entirely sure how it appeared, I've never dropped it of done anything stupid with it. It has had ALOT of use though, I sudder to think how many knives it's sharpened. If I had to guess what caused the crack I'd say it was sharpening a Ghurka Khukri with it, as it was a large heavy blade. Or possibly sharpening a katana.

I always thought that plastic seemed pretty tough. Let us know what they say.
