First lost Spyder

#1

Post by greencobra »

I left my beloved Delica behind in the hotel while spending the weekend in Newport, RI. A call to the place to see if housekeeping turned it in resulted in a no. I hope the maid treats it kindly. I know it's no earth shaking event, but to me it's like losing a child.

man, I know how ya feel. Lost my Endura in a field and heck if I could find it later that day. I searched for hours too. At least you have more to carry and it wasn't an "only child" like mine was.

Sorry for your loss. I've been fortunate that I've yet to lose one, but I know the law of averages will eventually catch up.

Lost Native

#7

Post by Nevertoomany »

I also feel for you. I recently lost only the third one in 61 years. Had a new Native for about two weeks and know exactly where I lost it (between two places). Went back and looked immediately - gone! Waited about two weeks and couldn't live without one. Just replaced it.

Nevertoomany, Welcome to the forum.

greencobra, sorry to hear about your loss. I know what your going through. I once lost my orange Rescue 79mm. Fortunatly someone at work picked it up and put it in my car. Hope you have similar fortune.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

That is a very nice attitude. One should always think like this in bed times...

Bitter memories

#18

Post by JD Spydo »

GC that brings back the Ultra-bitter memories of the Spyderhawk I lost in the Missouri wetlands about a year ago. I have been back up there 6 times and every time I keep feverishly searching for it. I have 5 of them to replace the one I lost but nothing>> and I do mean nothing seems to replace a "lost friend". AS the other brothers have echoed: I do indeed feel your pain and vividly remember mine. :(
