Onkata on Amazon has a manix 2 in cruwear DLC with forest green g10. I questioned the authenticity, ordered it, and it seems legit based on comparison with my other manix models. I’m guessing that it was an exclusive of knife joker before they went out of business and now it is an Onkata exclusive. I have never seen the combination before and google search came up empty as well. The price is about $180. My favorite color combination and steel choice.

My Caly 3.5 Carbon Fiber with laminated ZDP-189 comes to mind first .

I just looked it up .

That's sounds very plausible. I haven't heard anything about this particular exclusive until this thread but after seeing what happened with the 204P Military 2 exclusive at BHQ, I think that assessment could be spot on.

Apparently KW backed out late in production cycle, and BHQ picked it up.

Not sure if it's indicative of cash flow issues at KW, or if the market's cooled generally and some dealers don't want the outlay on exclusives if they don't move as fast as they have the past few years.

Not sure if we are talking about the Onkata exclusive of Cruwear DLC BLADE and forest green g10 manix 2 ….. or the forest green with satin blade Military 2… both are good to go and I just ordered a second manix from Onkata since the internet knows about it.

From what I was told by an exclusives dealer Spyderco is not easy to work with and it takes years to get an exclusive to market from the time it is agreed upon by Spyderco. In other words Spyderco is slow to deliver.

What you get today may have started off 3 to 5 years ago. I amcertain Spyderco has there own timetable and reasons. Don't really care.

Things change so does popularity of a steel and a model, part of the hazzards involved when it takes a long time to supply something.

Is this the truth IDK, it was what I was told.

That actually makes sense. I feel like something similar happened with St. Nicks and the Rex76 Shaman.
