The robust Pac Salt 1 is actually a great "mountain folder " to me, while I rarely carry it in my more "civilized", urban life (this is why the pocket clip is not worn much. In the mountains I usually have the Pac Salt in a little front pouch of my pack or unclipped in a zippered pocket).

Today though is an exception and I grabbed it as my EDC.

Also not the best food-prepper in my Spyderco quiver, but in a pinch still absolutely does the job.

I also liked the bright, friendly yellow and red color combo :smlling-eyes

Ya just gota Get a Gooney!!

This must be a great combo indeed! (Though from real experience I can only talk about the green part of it yet...;) )

I am a bit torn between getting a Gooney or a Retract next... "torn" in the way that the solution probably will be the usual answer here: "Get both"... ;)
I have the retract neat design, thats all underwhelmed.

Gooney ah now there's a keeper I wound up getting the serrated as well very usable and I like the steel much better in terms of sharpening ease and good edge retention. A real winner. 🏆
