Not actually in my pocket, but the MagnaCut Gerber Strongarm Camp was in my hand today for some testing.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
After almost a year, I'm back to carrying a Lil Native 10V as my 5th pocket knife. For my larger pocketknife, today it's a Viper Oniro. While I'm less than impressed with the heat treat on the Magnacut, I still like this knife, from the burlap micarta to the blade shape. With its big belly, it makes a great slicer.
Oldest: 1974 Buck 110.
Newest: Roadie XL, M398
Knives owned: Too many, yet always finding another.
Added a ceramic mug, "The Edge is a Ghost". Great mug!

For the past 5-6 years, I have been carrying a Victorinox Alox Farmer every workday and some play days in addition to a Spyderco.

Thanks, SEF. The 2nd blade is not a saw, but a seat belt cutter with a safety/blunt tip. Apparently also used by military parachute teams as well, according to the shopkeeper at the Singapore outlet that I bought it from during a visit some years back.SpyderEdgeForever wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 11:49 amAbsolutely beautiful, quality design! Very cool.
Have you tried using the saw? If yes, how is it compared to the standard SAK saw?

Very cool. Thank you for the history. I know the steel they use is not as hard as some of the alloys you and I and others here like but it is very durable and forgiving.sv4 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:37 amThanks, SEF. I spoke with a restaurant employee who told me he carries the model with the same main blade but none of the others, as a utility knife.

Mail call just now, another Midi Marauder, Drop Point this time, traded my Tanto for this one.

Yes, Victorinox steel is “soft” but their thin flat ground geometry plus ease of sharpening (bottom of coffee cupSpyderEdgeForever wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:07 amVery cool. The other interesting thing is that, on their serrated blades, they have the teeth opposite to what we usually see. The SE is at the pointy end and PE at the ricasso end. But I find that it sort of makes sense especially when doing detailed cutting, carving and the like.
