Sheepsfoot Saturday : Breeden Rescue from 2011.
That’s a cool one! Makes me think of the Greater Auk.
Thanks, Woodpuppy. It does indeed look like the beak of the Great Auk, haha.

Titanium Tuesday : Chokwe from 2011.
Very nice.

A re-run of this model would be extremely tempting - while the Watu is/was cool already, this one ticks more of my personal preferences:
Overall larger with especially longer blade, but still not heavy for the blade length, frame lock, G10 instead of CF, a ton of grip area to work with.
And I think in that longer blade the reasonable blade stock thickness of 3mm should roughly feel the same as the 2.5mm of the Watu?
Me being me though: Only thing that maybe would worry me a bit is the apparently very fine (fragile?) tip...

Thanks, Wartstein. I don’t own a Watu but have handled one before at the local Spyderco dealer’s shop. I prefer the size of the Chokwe in hand.

As for the tip, it’s got a slight upsweep similar to that of the Police 3. I think it’s nowhere near as fragile as some of my “splinter picker” tipped models like the Centofante 2 & Endura/Delica 2s & 3s for example. Now, those I tend to “baby” :winking-tongue
