Thanks, the weather here in the PNW has been terrible recently. Haven't been getting out as much. Finally got some sun today and got out for a short hike Got a few pics but they all turned out a bit fuzzy. This one was the best.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 5:10 pmLooks like a nice photo of the week entry . Very nice shot ! Dan

Yup the weather has gone back to traditional wet here again. Plus a little extra. But I’ve always loved the rain here so I don’t think it’s terrible. The usually dry Yelm creek in my backyard is now a flowing creek. Actually decided to carry the few stainless steel knives that I have instead of the usual tool steel due to all the rain.Pacu0420 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 05, 2026 6:47 pmThanks, the weather here in the PNW has been terrible recently. Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
My #1 most carried knife, by far. I have fancier, I have more expensive, I have more exotic. But this S35VN Para 3 with DLC is the best all around EDC knife I've ever owned.
I really enjoy the extra toughness of the S35VN, it can take a little abuse. And it's so easy to sharpen it back to a hair-whittling edge (I use the fine triangle rods laid flat in the slots on the bottom of the sharpmaker to freehand it).
The DLC is also super tough. It's amazing how well this coating holds up over time and use. If it starts looking a little scratched up or faded, just put a thick coating of oil on it, let it sit for 30-45 min, then wipe it off. Blade looks good as new
