This is the year of the Military 2 for me , I can see a couple more in my future. MG2

Good on ya, brother.
Same here. I never even wanted a Military. Then one day I saw them in 15V and thought, "What the heck?" I fell in love with the platform, and the steel just makes it even better. On a scale of 1-10, this one's a 12.
I feel this way about my Cruwear Military 2, and it has the unsunk liners- just carried it one day, knew I’d use that thing everywhere and in NYC still a nono with the older policemen. 😁 the cruwear M2 was my peak buy- would recommend handing one, not disappointing at all

I am notoriously bad at picking favorites, but this year is particularly tough to single one out.

For me it was a big year in 15v-- and I do love my strong and hard tool steels. I already had the G10 Manix, but this year acquired a G10 Native 5 as well as LW Manix and LW Native 5. All are spectacular. I have a special weak spot for G10 Native 5s.

It was also a year of Lil Temperance 3s. My first Spydie purchase of the year was a Bodacious and a VG-10 LT3 LW. The Bodacious is a fantastic knife, but a little long for my typical needs and uses. The LT3 is so good that I bought the K390 model and lucked out in a NIB G10 LT3, which I have wanted for a while. The K390 has a soft detent, I may have to doctor this eventually. The VG-10 has a perfect build and detent and the G10 S30V is also very good mechanically, with a very good detent. I got it for a great deal, and it has a cosmetic flaw on the G10 which I do not care about in the least.

Another champ that I bought this year is the Spy27 Police 4 LW.

I also got a Byrd Gooney which is a nice too.

If forced to pick, I think it would be the G10 LT3, with the G10 15v N5 as a runner up.

I looked through my purchases of 2025 and I think the one that I liked the most is my Endela Wharncliffe in K390. Just an exceptional design, not to big and not too small. I know not the most exciting model, but this one really surprised me especially in this configuration.

THE TRIO : I had them all with me today and worked all of them off and on all day . THE TRIO = M4 Tenacious blade swapped to black handle (all three have been) . . . then Same knife again with blade upper half cut away for thinner blade / kept the Spyie Hole ; is better for cutting curves . . . then Same knife again with blade cut short like a Micro Jimbo .

I'd really like to see a pic of your trio... :smirk
Sorry ; I'm in full cheepy Joe mode . Any photos I put up I "steal" (cut and paste) from a catalogue on line store such as the Spyderco Store . I'm operating from a Kindle with an auxiliary keyboard . I have , in halffast bursts , attempted to post photos from it . To no avail. l have Prime and all but even storing the photos on amazon has only worked a couple of times and not recently though the device is less than a year old .

I am kind of over spending thousands of dollars on the latest "device" and "service" they have been forcing me into . I don't need them for my work , heck I take photos at work (only for my own reference) on my iPod that was made right after the last ice age . I no longer can sync it ; haven't for a decade or so . They won't let me .
P on 'em .
Ha , ha , ha . . . are you ready ? Brace yourself . . .
I only have a land line . :smiling-cheeks :steam-nose :smlling-eyes

Yes, there is something about the Endela model and especially in K390... as said in my previous post here, my own ("regular" blade shape, SE) Endela is not only my favorite buy 2025, but right now my favorite folder overall.. and this despite I actually and definitely prefer "one size up" (so Endura size) practically speaking for my main EDC.

I generally just like the sturdy feel in hand and balance of the linered Seki FRN models while still being pretty light (the Endela has roughly the weight of a Manix 2 LW).
And the Endela is just such a nice, slim and compact carry with great ergos and a lot of grip area and grip options, and a bladeshape and bladelength (pm2-ish cutting edge) that work just perfectly for many tasks (though, as said, the longer Endura is even more versatile practically speaking).

To me it is also the best (proportioned) looking of all the Seki FRNs.

And on top the Endela happens to offer a great serrations pattern, the kind of in my use no PE blade can match for what I do with EDC folders.
Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

OK last one . Old forum photo of mine from 2019.
A Spyderco this time !
HAP40 is the modded one put in the black handle .
I was fooling around with makeing a "Waveable" knife out of the Spydie hole. DON'T DO THIS it is hard to pull out of your pocket without it opening , some times you just want to take your knife out of your pcoket and not have it open . This one ALWAYS snags and opens part way . = DANGEROUS !
Now I carry it without the clip in a slip . ((oh MAX ! I'm rhyming ! WHAT'S THE DEAL ! ! ! (( Jim Carry Grinch)).

This blade is so DANGED THIN !
It is Clad so I tell my self it is stronger . Haven't broken it yet . I am very careful .

Anyway I did this to one of the M4 Tenacious but kept the entire Spydie hole .

For me, it's the SPY27 Manix G10. The cobalt blue is wonderful, and I really enjoy SPY27.

Been thinking about this topic for a while and finally decided for me 2025 was the year of the LeafJumper. Bought one when they were announced as discontinued and loved it so much that I bought two other variants.

Fingers crossed for a LeafJumper sprint someday!

That's easy, I only bought one knife in 2025 and that was a SPY27 Bodacious. I wanted it because I like the Native platform but am not a fan of lockbacks. When I discovered the Shaman, I wanted to buy it, but thought to myself that for a knife this big, it's got a rather short edge. Then the Bodacious was announced and I knew right then, this was the knife for me, but didn't want anymore black G10 and S30V, so I waited for an inevitable "upgrade" and when it dropped, I pounced!

The same thing happened to me - I was not familiar with the LeafJumper until it was discontinued, then I tried one and liked it so much that I bought a couple others (K390 PE & SE). It's one of my favorite carry knives, and I would love to see a LJ Sprint!

As much as I like the LeafJumper, I fould a grail knife this year that is definitely my 2025 favorite: a new-condition carbon fiber/S90V Military (the original, not the M2). I assume it was a Sprint model, and didn't know the version was ever made, so I was elated to find one in such great condition. I like the Military 2 (including the 15V, CF/S90V, CruCarta, and all-black Salt versions), but I do prefer the liner lock instead of the comp lock. 2025 was a good year for finding some great Spyderco knives! :smiling-cheeks

I’ve been mulling this over for a few days now, and while it’s tough to pick a favorite, the Byrd Gooney puts the biggest smile on my face. 😁

I agree! I think it’s certainly the most innovative.

For me it's either the 15V military 2 or the SPY27 bodacious. If the bodacious was slightly longer there would be no contest, as I prefer larger blades. If the steel in the bod was more extreme it would probably also win, so fingers crossed for magnamax or being able to score the s90v

Hi Folks- Long time lurker, first time poster- figured at this point I’d jump in:

Spyderco Subvert and my wife bought me a Caribbean at the HQ during an August trip to Denver. Glad to be here.

Thats my hope as well. Magnamax Bodacious or bust! (Okay okay, a 15V one would be good too)

Toss up between the proto-x mule (gifted) to me or the serrated leafjumper in vg10. The LJ remains one of my favorite designs.
