It’s that time of year where one can gather around their purchases and decide which one stands out among the horde ! The knife can be a new model , old stock , used , fixed blade or folder . This is the year of the Military 2 for me , I can see a couple more in my future. MG2

What a cool thread to tack up. I have bought quite a few this year to date, really hard choice for me to pick just one.
Being forced to pick one knife, the one that stands out the most for me is my biggest blade, the Ed Schempp-Rock. I just love this knife, has the awesome Sheath to fit and everything.

No worries Jeb . Feel free to post other models too , this is really just an exercise of fun . Dan

I only had 2 purchases, and was gifted 1 for the calendar contest (which would win, being the Sage 6) but, purchased with my own money...has to be the Sage 5 Spy27 LW! Just about perfect in every way. Can't find a flaw or have anything negative to say about it. A truly, great knife.

I don't want to hear about the action of your knife - Rick
Yes, it is small for my liking (blade-, not handle-wise), but other than that I just love this knife - did so already with its VG10 variant (and its great serration pattern), but this K390 version actually is my overall favorite folder at the time being
(That said: In the "if I could only have one folder" - scenario and thinking rationally I´d still always go with the larger Endura platform).
This is the very first pic I took for the "..in your pocket today" - thread when I got the Endela in March

Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)
My favorite this year is the Original Gayle Bradley folder. It's not just my favorite in my Spyderco collection, but it's one of the best knives I have handled period. I also have a mint condition Gayle Bradley Air incoming and I hope it comes by before 2025 ends!
i purchased two this year. they're very different and were purchased for different purposes, so it's difficult to call one my favorite. i suppose, if i had to choose, it would be the military 2 salt. i never thought any knife would make me carry a manix less, but here we are. it's just a really great knife. zero compromises.
the other knife i bought was the janisong. i've been flipping balisong trainers as fidget spinners for the last couple years and wanted a janisong for a while. i never understood why they weren't allowed to be sold in america, so i had to jump at the chance when the became available. the janisong is functional edc knife, but i really bought it for fun and because it was an important piece for my collection.
i'm also thoroughly enjoying my sage 6 from the calendar contest. i've been meaning to post a review on it, but haven't had a lot of time to be on the forum lately. i'll share more thoughts eventually though.
This is the Sage 6! The concept for this knife was created around 2 years ago when I had a discussion with the company about having this knife with a button lock. Spyderco is awesome!!
I purchased too many to pick a favorite but one stands out as a special piece.
On word to describe this piece would be - Iconic.
Being gifted the cutout blank from Eric to go with it was the cherry on top.

So nice they brought back the old leather sheath design to compliment the steel . Dan

That's easy. I just made a thread about it. 2025 would be remembered by me by finally getting my hands on the ultimate grail for me - Spyderco Hundred Pacer.
