Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Hi - I'm new here and am hoping to get some help from folks who know these knives better than I do. I recently picked up several Spyderco knives at an estate auction and I'm trying to make sure I correctly understand what I have. I got the impression the guy collected, but who knows.
One of them appears to be a Spyderco Titanium Military, but I'd appreciate a second set of eyes from those more familiar with this model.
I've attached a link to photos showing the blade markings, dockside, hardware, clip and overall profile. https://photobucket.com/invite/5b112c32 ... 5ffbcfece0
If there are any known tells on the Ti-Military model, or if anything looks off (or right), I'd really appreciate the feedback. Just trying to learn and make sure I'm understanding how to identify these correctly.
Thanks in advance and am glad to have found this forum.

Welcome to our forum. You might need to adjust the link you posted, it's to collaborate instead of view.

At first glance, this appears to be a counterfeit. The bug logo on the blade is wrong. The font and spacing on the script is wrong. The show side pivot is wrong. The "nub" on the ricasso is shaped wrong.
Someone else who knows these models better may prove me wrong, but those are the immediate things that jump out at me. Those are also the areas that counterfeiters never get quite right.

Merry Christmas y'all, asking for your thoughts on this delica I picked up for my dad for Christmas. I ordered it from Onkata, who I understand is a legitimate Spyderco authorized retailer, fulfilled by Amazon. There are a couple of things that are causing me some concern. Images are attached, notably the light laser marking for Sal, and the semi-poor fit and finish of the back lockbar in both the closed and open position. https://photos.app.goo.gl/keN2ZzETTbdaqrdN7

Hey all. Want to double check if you think this is legit or not. I haven’t purchased a fake……yet, but reading some other threads has me wondering. Here are some pictures.

Hard to tell from pictures unless they're close and large. The clues are in the details.

@40mm
Ask for the top picture of the back of opened knife. Fake delicas and enduras/matriarchs have a significant side to side gaps where blade and handle meet as the lockbar use to be thicker than blade tang on the “clones”.
Also dimensions are different when side to side with originals. Clones are a bit more beefy in all dimensions.

I don't see anything that immediately jumps out as counterfeit. In fact, I'm pretty confident this is legit. As Sal said though, its hard to be 100% sure with just pictures. One thing that counterfeiters typically don't get right is the paperwork that comes in the box. I see this one came with the card that explains the non-stainless nature of tool steels. That is not something that I've ever seen with a counterfeit.

Thanks all. I passed on it and picked up a couple of older Salt1 knives instead.

Good morning. My spyderco civilian arrived a few days ago from a seemingly reliable dealer. I would like a second opinion on if it can potentially be counterfeit.see attachment. The only thing not pictured is the plastic wrap the knife was in while inside the pouch. Thank you

Can you please provide close up pictures of the blade text on both sides. And the bug logoCAguy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 16, 2026 10:58 amGood morning. Is this fake? Found this on eBay, but the label looks unusual and I can’t see the box very well. It’s for a Q Ball. Thanks!

I looked at the other pics on eBay too. It looks legit to me. That sticker on the box looks like a retail store put their own sku/inventory sticker over the factory one.Aladinsane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 17, 2026 6:15 amIs this fake?
