Jeb i am sure you will find one but they can be tricky but they are out there.
And when you find one i am sure it will have a great home in your collection.

Knice! One of my favorite aspects of a Spyderco is how they go hand-n-hand with glovesWandering_About wrote: ↑Thu Dec 11, 2025 3:17 pm28F, light breeze, freezing drizzle/ice pellets, solid gray overcast. Not inspiring weather, but I went for a 3 mile walk anyway.
Para 3 Salt along for the ride

I think if I get some free time this weekend I'm going to see about adding some bevels to these scales

Took my Para 3 Salt on a real trail this afternoon. 20F with 20mph winds and light snow falling.

Went fishing this morning. Thought I was gonna get skunked - still a magnificently beautiful day though for sure!
But then...
The line got tight, and the drag sang, as the as of yet seen/identified large fish peeled line off my reel;
And
My arm high, and my smile very big, I played what turned out to be a Grate surprise & Very cool fish

Measured right at 26 inches. A freakin' Koi! (which is just a Carp with a fancier paint job I think)
I asked google how much a 26" carp weighs and got the repsonse 8lb-14lb. So it weighed somewhere in that range.
I showed it off a bit, took a few photos, and put it right back in the water it came out of. I waved & thanked it for a fantastic fight as I watched it swim lumberingly away :-)
I was using my normal 4'6" one piece Shakespeare MicroSeries UltraLight rod/reel combo spooled with last years 4lb test Stren monofilamant.
I'm still a little shocked I was able to play and land it! And still grinning about it too =-]
- also caught a beautiful Brown, photos of both going in the fishing thread -
In pocket was (as still is) Stretch 2 XL LW in Spy27, and with me was my Catcherman, as is standard for me when fishing/hunting.

I like to say the winters here keep the riff raff out... if nothing else they keep the bugs in check. Tomorrow will be colder, high of 10F and low of around -10F tomorrow night. We have been getting some snow this winter which is nice as lately winters have tended to be pretty dry.
20mph is just a fresh breeze here!
