Re: Flashlights
I’m looking to grab a larger flashlight while the Black Friday sales will be going on. Trying to decide between the Fenix TK17 and the Olight Seeker 4 Pro. Both seem similar in performance but I don’t know if I’d like the lockout on the Olight. It will constantly lock out after 10sec. The Fenix has a tail switch while I prefer but no lockout feature at all.

Re: Flashlights
I picked up a Sofrin C8L after reading some reviews for a bright light that had good runtimes. So far I’ve been impressed. The beam is a good spot with a wide circle of spill around it. What are some good more flood light options for flashlight?

Re: Flashlights
I've been on an Olight kick lately, just got the new ArkPro Ultra and it was bundled with a free i3E EOS which is a little keychain light, and I was so impressed with it I also ordered a i1R 2 Pro which is another small keychain light. The ArkPro is a big improvement over their Arkfeld Ultra, I really like that it finally has USB-C charging.

Re: Flashlights
Fenix E35R is pretty nice. Quite a bit of spill and still has a bit of a hot spot. That's a 21700 battery as well. Looks like they have a Black Friday sale going on at the Fenix website too.RugerNurse wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 5:05 pmI picked up a Sofrin C8L after reading some reviews for a bright light that had good runtimes. Re: Flashlights
After using a 18650 Solarforce host and Eagtac triple drop-in for flippin’ years I recently bought a 21700 Convoy 21d quad.
I guessed a spec of
LED type: XPL HI
Color temperature: 4000K
Quad TIR beam angle: 60 degree bead
For work I need flood rather than throw and good colour definition for photos and I’ve found this torch to be excellent.

Edit: and cheap!

Re: Flashlights
Nitecore has a few options like that. I can't think off the top of my head what the models are, but I know they have them.

Re: Flashlights
nitecore tube I think.
I found one of those olights in a hotel I stayed at on vacation. someone left it behind.

I'm afraid to ask how many flashlights makunochimaster has

Re: Flashlights
I've seen Wuben (spelling?) on Amazon sell them, but haven't checked them out. I already have so many higher powered lights so I've been gravitating to smaller, more convenient sizes lately and with Olight I really like the magnetic bases, which would combine really well with a pivot head. I have some Milwaukee work lights like this and they're awesome.

Re: Flashlights
I can't remember the last time I carried something besides my nitecore edc 27 uhi, besides when I take headlamps with me hiking / camping.
it's so thin and easy to carry for a full sized light, and has crazy long battery life and power.
I used to carry keychain sized lights too but since the edc27 is so easy to carry I leave the keychain lights at home now.
When I carried a fenix pd36r for my main light it was bulkier, which meant sometimes I didn't feel like carrying it. the nitecore doesn't have that issue for me.
