Looks like Eric is firing directly across the bow of the Civivis and Kizers of the world (that is, China), with the Mantra 4 and the Button Up.

I think that's a good thing. Spyderco needs fresh, original, and desirable models in the sub $80 price range.

I'm definitely going to be a buyer for that white G10 Mantra 4.

Love it! There are a few here that were featured in the case at BLADE show and I’m glad to see them already revealed.

The white Mantra 4 was in the case and it was one of my favorite designs in there! It’s very sleek design, the flipper tab is super subtle but still very effective. Really cool to see the blackout and CF version too!

The Button-Up was also in the case at BLADE and I suspect it is going to be Spyderco’s new best seller! It was such a good design, it felt like a slightly smaller PM2 with a Button Lock. It’s going to be a huge hit and the calls for upgraded steel will come fast!

The Shelter Cove was in the case too and it’s another must have! I love that we’re finally getting a proper filet knife from Spyderco again.

The Shaman Salt is a cool surprise! As well as the Microjimbo Salt. Maybe we’re working our way towards a Lil Native Salt next reveal.

I'm really happy about the Button Up and Mantra 4. I was pretty impressed with the prototypes at Blade Atlanta and Amsterdam this year. I wonder if this means they will discontinue the Astute, which is very similar in shape to the Mantra4. The Shaman Salt also seems great, I think the Caribbean texturing will be really nice on the otherwise smooth contoured handle. I'm a bit surprised they're doing the Microjimbo Salt instead of a Yojimbo 2 Salt first, though I suppose the Yo2 is a bit more difficult to make with the hollow grind vs the MJimbo's FFG. The 15V Yo2 and Jumbo have been taking quite a while.

The Gooney remains one of the best value Spydercos on the market, now also in serrated! This would be a great gift to give to a knife guy who has an extensive conventional collection but wants something a little wacky. Honestly in terms of value, I'm somewhat pleased about the pricing on these new products. Pricing seems to have been impacted a bit on the Chinese models but I think they are still a worthwhile value, even with 8Cr. I wonder if any dealers/distributors will be doing a Button Up exclusive any time soon - I suppose it ultimately depends on their sales data.

One thing I'm also excited for is what seems to be a new TiCN finish on the manbug - typically, Seki City uses a matte finish on their black coating but this satin finish seems more akin to the Taichung true TiCN finish, which I love. I'm curious if this is an error where they've photographed the prototype instead of a production sample (eg, Schempp Balance showing VG-10 instead of SPY27 on the Spyderco website) or if this may be indicative of a rolling change to update the Seki coatings.

Great reveal as always. Both the Mantra and ButtonUp look like great designs that will compete extremely well with the cheap Civivis and Kizers. Not going to lie the ButtonUp screams M4 to me, a tough looking little knife.

See the Bodacious in S90V is great, it is an awesome knife and needed more steels. I love my SPY-27 version.

More Mules are good; I might pick an SE version up. I already own a Z-Wear version, not sure how the "BQ" changes the steel much, but it could be good for SE with its elevated toughness.

Finally, as always, more 15v is always extremely welcome.

Honestly I overlooked it, was too excited for the Bodacious. It'll be a must have for me too. I'm still holding out hope for a 15V Bodacious though.
