I don’t think it’s broken, I think it’s just stabbed through a leaf. The handle is behind the leaf. I could be wrong.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 5:54 am

thanks, paint is marking a gas valve location.

Thanks! The ergonomics are amazing on this knife. I think this knife could be one of, if not, Spyderco's most underrated knives from the last ten years. It never quite got the due love it deserves but I think it would really shine with a CBBL.

Lol! It took me long enough. Been eyeing the M390 Native Chief for quite some time. Really glad I found one when I could afford it.
I did have to work on the edge for a while though. It was all sorts of wonky. After a couple hours of reprofiling, the edge bevels are nice and straight. 2° takes forever on Spyderco M390! Using old worn down stones didn't help either, lol

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Pacu,
I understand all about that 2 degrees taking forever. I got a HIC Mule that I am trying to take from 19 dps to 15 dps and I have already totalled several diamond hones on trying to rough it in.
I bet I have over 20 hours honing on the HIC Mule so far and I am no where close yet. It's the absolute hardest thing I have messed with. I have sharpened Tungsten and it's not harder than the HIC.
I have a really hard time throwing my old worn out hones away, but dang if I can come up with anything I can use them on after I rub them basically slick lol...
