Thanks for sharing Gizmo.

I received my SMKW Catalog yesterday and of course.... all the Spydies are gone. A quick perusal is all I could muster, then I tossed it.

I have one of those Sharpmakers... came in a Condura pouch.

What is amazing is the fact that the cost of the Endura and Delica have not risen that much (if at all) in all this time.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Seems SMKW has taken on a new "corporate" direction since those fabled days of yore. My recent visit to the place was a shining disappointment. You could have fit all of the Spydies (boxes and all) in a five gallon bucket. Pitiful selection. :(

SMKW has even taken the spyderco goto icon off of their home page. You have to type in spyderco in the search area to get to the spyderco list of products.

They used to be one of the only reasons I liked to go to Piegon Forge but after the last trip I don'y really care if I go back.

There is a thread on the Benchmade forum about them not selling Benchmade's anymore either...

Hey, at least they are a GREAT source of those 1982 World's Fair Knives!

I do not know the full details but there is a reason they are not carrying BMs anymore, many other places have also stopped carrying them.

They have a "minimum advertised price" policy. You can sell for what you want, but you can't advertise below MSRP. Some internet dealers don't much care for this, as you can understand.
