I love míne Wharncliffe. VG-10 plain edge in Salt 2 light handle. My main EDC for the last year. I just hope for some higher end stainless steel. M390 or 20CV would be awsome😇👍😊

It would depend greatly on what I intend to do with the knife. Some tasks are better served by the standard blade, like skinning. Some tasks are better served by the Wharncliffe, like self defense where cutting and slashing is desired. However, point work is better for the standard blade.

Hahaha! Well, I’m not saying it can’t do things only that there are blade types more suited to certain jobs than others.

Dredging up this old thread to say that I am shocked how much of a difference a Wharncliffe blade makes on the Delica. What a great little knife. The only thing I don't like are the teal scales (picked up a distributor exclusive), but that is solved rather easily.

Most don’t get the warn. c due to traditional blade shapes

Delica warny is likely my favorite in that knife size

The Delica wharnie is also one of my favorites. It's probably within the top 3 out of the 30 Spydercos I own. I've had a few over the years. This k390 frankenstein is the only one I have left. The Delica wharncliffe seem to be trending down from what I can tell. A relic, it would seem. The only current production run of this blade is in VG10, I believe. It's sad when you're lusting for even s30v lol! Hopefully we don't see these completely discontinued. @sal any insight on future production or potentially lack thereof?

Huge fan of the Delica … and that changed when I got my first Delica Wharncliffe.

I’ve got D Wharncliffes in: HAP40, S30V, K390, 20CV, and LC200N (plain edge and serrated Salts).

If they make ‘em I buy ‘em, and if they don’t I’ll be content with what I have and hope to never lose them.

Lots of good steels they can be done in.

In my collection of 30+ Spyderco, I have so far only purchased one model that was a variation of one I already had. I bought a Delica 4 K390 Wharn to join my Delica 4 Superblue/Zome.

I like my little Wharn collection.

Never had one, but it is on my list. A Cruwear Wharnie in any of the Delica, Endura, Endela, or Dfly would all be must buys for me. I'll probably buy a VG-10 here soon though while I wait!

5 years later and now this is my favorite and most carried model. I have every variant of the Wharnie Delica and rotate them as my daily carry. I'm bummed they have kind of fallen out of favor. I was really hoping to see one in Cruwear/PD-1.

I only have a couple, but I'd be interested in new variants.

Surprisingly, I carry these more than the slightly smaller Microjimbo.

I bought my first wharncliffe a few weeks ago, a Salt 2 serrated edge in lc200n. It hasn't left my pocket since. I love the wharncliffe shape for an EDC knife, and would love to see more options come out, though it feels like I may have missed the wharncliffe boom of a few years ago :)

Delica wharncliffe is my favorite Spyderco. I have 4 of the K390 variant. 2 users and 2 backups. Shame it never really caught on.

Would love to see it in some of the newer steels like PD#1, SPY27, etc.

The K390 wharnies are my favorite. It’s a real shame those were discontinued. I have 2 delicas and 3 Enduras. Such a beast of a blade.

I’ve recently been carrying a spy27 Yojimbo and with the cl, it’s another beast of a blade and a real joy to use. Can’t wait for the 15v Yojimbo to drop, but the value of the seki city wharncliffes was great when they were around.
